Larry R. Bolden, 82, of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday evening, February 24, 2023, in Community Hospice-Truman House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

Born in Dennison, Larry was the son of the late Frank W. and Mildred (Miller) Bolden and a graduate of the former Tuscarawas-Warrick High School in Tuscarawas. An honorably discharged veteran, Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service to his country, Larry started a lengthy career with Norfolk & Southern Railroad where he worked as a Brakeman and a Conductor.

Larry was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church at Dennison, a member of the Tuscarawas VFW Post 7943 and also served as a member of the Posts Honor Guard Detail for over 50 years. He was a passionate Notre Dame fan and enjoyed hunting and traveling to Canada for fishing trips.

On July 11, 1964, Larry married N. Rosalie (Beamer) Bolden and together shared over 58 years of marriage until his passing. Larry is also survived by two sons, Michael (Kelly) Bolden of New Philadelphia and Jeffrey Bolden of Tuscarawas; three grandchildren, Karis Ann (Jadan) Hartzler, Alexandrea (Nathan) Estlund, Jacub Bolden.

In addition to his parents, Larry is also preceded in death by his two brothers, Walter, and Robert Bolden.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia, where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia where the New Philadelphia VFW will conduct military honors.
