Larry R. Houze, age 78, of rural Mineral City, Ohio, died early Sunday morning, October 5, 2025, in the Hennis Care Center at Dover.

He was born December 5, 1946, in Dover, Ohio and was the son of the late Chester L. and Mary Lou (Davy) Houze.  

Larry was an employee of the former M & B Operating Company in Waynesburg. He was a 1964 graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School and served his country in the Army during the Viet Nam War. He was fond of outdoor sports but particularly enjoyed hunting. Larry was a gun enthusiast who was fond of target shooting. 

He is survived by two sons, Shawn M. (Companion Jill Comer) Houze and Chad Houze, both of Dover, his four grandchildren Zack (Trinity) Houze of Bolivar, OH, Ethan Houze (Companion Alex Nelson) of Warsaw, OH, Jared Houze of Statesville, North Carolina and Mrs. Hannah (Ricki) Feldbush of Dover, and two great-grandchildren Finley Houze and Raven Feldbush.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 10, 2025, in the Holmes Church Cemetery with Pastor Dan Parson officiating. Interment will follow services. No public calling hours will be observed. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
