Larry W. Parrish, 78, of Uhrichsville, passed away peacefully, September 24, 2023, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio from complications of cancer. Born September 4, 1945, in Dennison, he was the son of the late Walter H. Parrish Sr. and Elsie M. Sanders.

Larry was a 1963 graduate of Gnadenhutten High School. He retired in 1998 from AK Steel, the former Reeves Steel Mill in Dover. Larry was a life member of the Tusco Rifle Club and the NRA. He was also an active member of the New Philadelphia Elks, the Tusco Amateur Radio Club, and the First Presbyterian Church in Uhrichsville.  

On January 21, 1981, Larry married the former Sharon L. Pretty of Uhrichsville who survives him. In addition to Sharon, he will be deeply missed by his son, Wayne (Kimberly) Parrish of Dover; his grandson, Zachary Parrish of Cleveland; and his granddaughter, Amanda (Edward) Sutelan of Charlotte, North Carolina. Larry is also survived by E. Louise Parrish, sister-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Ann Parrish, siblings, Walter Parrish Jr., Charles Parrish, Ronald (Vada) Parrish Sr., Luther R. Parrish, Irene (Frank) Hall, Faye (Lester) Cerana, Patricia Parrish, half-siblings, Warren Parrish, Clyde Parrish, Beryl Parrish, Ardith Gilmore, and Eva Johnson.

A memorial service for Larry will be officiated by Pastor Mark Unrue and held at 12p.m., Saturday September 30, in the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home in Uhrichsville with visitation from 11a.m.-12p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia, following the service. Following interment, a luncheon will be served at the First Presbyterian Church located at 633 N. Main Street, Uhrichsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
