Laura Faye Carrico, 88, of Newcomerstown, passed on to her eternal home on Saturday, November 12, at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Faye was born on December 9, 1933, to the late Delbert K. and E. Margaret Craigo Quillen. She was a 1951 graduate of Newcomerstown High School. On November 17, 1954, she married Bobby L. Carrico. They spent 61 years together before his passing on December 22, 2015.

Faye is survived by her children, Cheryl (Ron) Bordner, Debbie (Mark) Nay, and John Carrico, all of Newcomerstown; her grandchildren Deana (Jeremy) Parfitt, Luke Bordner, Amy Brandon, Andrea (Derek) Booth, Robby (Nikkole) Nay, Quinn (Missy) Carrico and Cayla (Cody) Ames; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 14-year-old great-granddaughter, Kenslee Brandon, and her brother, Richard K. Quillen.

Faye was a familiar face to many as she had worked as a teller at the Reeves/Huntington Bank and as a cashier/office clerk at Thompson’s IGA until her retirement.

Faye was a woman of unwavering faith. She attended the Newcomerstown Church of the Nazarene where she served as pianist, church board member, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and missionary president. She was presented with the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her service to the church.

Some of the fond memories we will cherish our mom’s delicious pork and kraut that we enjoyed every New Year’s Eve, pizza and games every Sunday evening and hanging out on the front porch with mom and dad at their house on State Street.

Services for Faye will be on Wednesday, November 16, at noon at Addy Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Manor Nursing Home for the love and care they gave our mom during her four-month stay. Thanks, also, to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crossroads Hospice or the Newcomerstown Church of the Nazarene.
