Laura Jean Caldwell, 60, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville, following a long period of declining health. Born June 30, 1964, in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Ernest John and Vera Jane (McCollister) Bartholomew.

On June 11, 1982, Laura married Samuel Henry Caldwell who survives her as well as their children, Ashley (Andrew) Johnson, Chad (companion, Danara Lamonica) Caldwell, and Stephanie Caldwell, and grandson, Jordan Johnson. Laura’s sisters, Rose A. Garbrandt and Debora L Patterson, also survive her, as well as her sister-in-law, Tina Bartholomew, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Bartholomew.

Laura was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who had also worked at Market Basket in Uhrichsville and Shoney’s in Dover. She had been a member of Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship. She loved crocheting and working puzzles and will be remembered for her wonderful baking, especially at the holidays. Laura was also a huge fan of Elvis and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pastor Michael Brindley will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Wednesday, November 27, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where her family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service. She will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Alzheimer’s Association.
