Laura Mae Ricklic Dutton, 103, of Mineral City, passed away July 10, 2024, following an accident in her home.
Born in Fairfield Township on December 5, 1920, Laura was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Martha (DeWalle) Ricklic.
She was a farm homemaker and enjoyed caring for sheep. She attended Dog Run School and graduated from Midvale High School in 1937.
On March 31, 1941, she married the late John Ryan Dutton with whom she celebrated 75 years of marriage until his passing on April 15, 2016.
Laura is survived by her children, Wanda (Doral Paul) McCartney and J. Ryan (Nancy Miller) Dutton, both of Atwood Lake; her grandchildren, Amanda (Alan) Yingling of Sharon, PA, Casey O. McCartney of Mineral City, JR (Megan) Dutton III of North Canton, and Tyler Dutton of Atwood Lake; her great-grandchildren, Nathanial, Maddy Mae, Bethann, and Courtnee Yingling; her great-great-grandchildren, Ava Yingling, Shawn Paden and Kinsley Morgan; friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews;
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Hattie Tess McCartney; siblings, Irma (William) Rieger, Albert (Anna Fondriest) Ricklic, Joe Donald (Mildred) Ricklic and Raymond (Patricia Kelly) Ricklic.

Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center, 5600 N. Wooster Ave., Dover on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 1 to 4 p.m. A service celebrating Laura’s life will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Roger Warnes officiating. Burial will follow in Holmes Church Cemetery. A meal will be shared at the Holmes Church following the committal service.
