The 40 Leading Ladies for 2024 in Tuscarawas County were announced Friday.
This is the third year for the awards celebrated by three partnering organizations: the Women’s Success Series Steering Committee, and the Lucille Nussdorfer Tuscarawas County Woman of the Year Award Steering Committee and the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking on behalf of those organizations, Wendy Zucal says the Leading Ladies program, in its third year, was a logical continuation of existing efforts by those groups. She says they are happy to highlight a diverse group of women of all ages.
“Twenty over forty and twenty under forty. We want to make sure we’re recognizing all levels of leadership. These are ladies in Tuscarawas County who contribute a great deal to making our communities better places to work and live, and have made significant impacts to that effort, and have been recognized, nominated, and voted by their peers.”
Overall, the list includes Tuscarawas County Commissioner Kristin Zemis, Dover Schools Superintendent Kari McCrate, and leaders in many other fields.
The Leading Ladies will be honored June 6th at the Women’s Success Series speaker program.
