Following a non-profit’s successful 2025 collection, they are looking ahead to more donation opportunities.
Jaxon’s Bricks for Bravery was created in memory of Jaxon, who passed away at 5 years old following a continuing battle with congenital heart disease.
His mother and non-profit President Bridget Britton says he loved playing with LEGO sets, and this inspired her family to collect the toy and give back. Their next drop off is on February 13th.
“We would love to reach that goal of donating 1,000 sets. We donated a 1,000 sets on our son’s birthday and we felt like wow how can we ever reach that number and randomly, in February, we might reach that goal again of 1,000 sets.”
Britton says donating this month is fitting as it’s Heart Disease Awareness month. To tie into that, they are having a social media campaign.
“February 7th through the 14th we’re trying to raise money on our social media for 100 sets. It’s just Facebook/bricksforbravery and help us with that financial donation. You can see on our Facebook what we have done with our financial donations.”
LEGO sets can also be dropped off.
“We partner with the Flourish Learning Center at the New Towne Mall, we have a donation drop-off box also at the Akron Children’s New Philadelphia office, and then our newest location is going to be the Newcomerstown library, and then in West Lafayette’s Precious Treasures preschool.”
In 2025, almost 2,000 LEGO sets went to Akron Children’s Hospital.
