Leora A. “Ann” Yackey, 90, of Dover, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023.
Born on February 27, 1932, in Dover she was the daughter of the late Norman and Gertrude Godfrey. Ann was also preceded in death by her husband on February 11, 1999; and her son, Gary Yackey.
She had worked as a secretary at Zedmark in Dover for a number of years and also attended the Lakeview Baptist Church in Dundee. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Ann will be sadly missed by her son, Robert (Nancy) Yackey of Canton; daughter-in-law, Sharon Yackey of Sugarcreek; grandchildren, Joshua (Chrissy) Yackey, Sara (Chad) Hochstetler; great-grandchildren, Bobby Yackey, Ashton, Kaitlin, and Andrew Hochstetler.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at 140 South Bodmer Avenue in Strasburg, with Pastor Thomas Shank officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
