The city of Uhrichsville praised one of the waterpark’s employees for life saving measures.
Mayor Jim Zucal says that lifeguard Lani Abbuhl was on duty, sitting in the chair, and recognized the signs of someone in distress.
With a hooded sweater on, Abbuhl jumped in and saved the child, going back on duty immediately after.
“We at the city appreciate this young ladies efforts and using her training because safety is a priority for us at the waterpark and we want to continue and provide good quality fun with a safe environment.”
Elsewhere, Zucal notes that the Uhrichsville Waterpark has seen a lot of activity thanks to the warmer temperatures.
