Linda Cochenour, 79, of Dover, died Monday, November 13, 2023, in her home following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Clarence and Francis (Agnes) Ashelman, Linda was born January 20, 1944 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Linda was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed walking her dog in the park and attending the Tuscarawas County Fair.
She is survived by her sons, Brett Cochenour of New Philadelphia, Bartt Cochenour of Navarre, Chris Cochenour of Dover, and Chad (Denise) Cochenour of New Philadelphia; and grandchildren, Chance and Zach Cochenour.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Cody Cochenour; and sisters, Roberta Brokaw and Jane Boger.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Linda’s life will also be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bonnie Grimaldi officiating. Burial will follow in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
