Linda S. “Lenny” Bayer, 67, of Strasburg passed away at her home on Saturday, September 17, 2022, following an extended battle with cancer.
Linda was born on May 27, 1955, in Dover and was a daughter of Jean Cobes Hawk of Strasburg and the late Frederick Wendling. She had been employed at the Tuscarawas County Juvenile Attention Center until illness forced her retirement. She was a member of the Vannin Family, and in her spare time, she enjoyed reading and painting.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Jon) Mayforth of Strasburg; sister, Patty Wendling of Strasburg; brother, Doug (Tracy) Wendling of Dundee; grandson, Kyler Shetler; and her beloved dog, Sheba.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg. There are no services or calling hours.
