The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County’s latest musical follows the scandalous story of a southern brothel made famous in a 1982 movie starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds.
“The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” opens Friday to start a nine-show run with evening performances on Fridays and Saturdays and Sunday matinees. Bart Herman is directing.
Guinevere Rhoads plays Miss Mona, the Madam of the Chicken Ranch and the role Dolly Parton performed on the big screen. And the Burt Reynolds role of Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd is played by Mark Adkins.
Tickets are on sale at thelittletheatreonline.org and by calling 330-308-6400. The show is for a more mature audience and includes strong language and suggestive situations.
