Opening night is Friday for the musical version of the 1974 Mel Brooks film that is considered one of the funniest movies of all time.

Conner Limbaugh is the assistant director for the Little Theatre show and says that humor is duplicated on stage and then some. Larry Sams plays the role of Frederick Frankenstein, which Gene Wilder played in the movie.

The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County will host nine performances of “Young Frankenstein,” including evening shows this Friday and Saturday and a 2:30 matinee Sunday. Future performances include three more matinees on Saturday July 5th and Sundays July 6th and 13th, plus evening shows on Fridays and Saturdays through the 12th.

Buy tickets a box office starting an hour before the shows or online at thelittletheatreonline.org. And a reminder that “Young Frankenstein” has a lot of risque content and is intended for mature audiences.
