The Tuscarawas County Humane Society is gearing up for its biggest fundraiser of the year later this month.
The Humane Society’s 18th annual Cause for Paws Gala is set for March 21st at the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center.
Director Haley Predragovich says tickets are 75 dollars and can be purchased on the Humane Society’s website. The evening includes dinner, dessert, entertainment, and more, such as auctions, raffles, and grab bags.
The organization receives no county, state, or federal funding and relies entirely on grants and community donations. She says every dollar raised goes directly to animal care, including medical treatment and daily shelter needs.
In past years, the Cause for Paws Gala has raised more than 100-thousand dollars to support local animals in need.
