Three local communities are set to receive funding to help their drug task forces combat illegal drug activity.

Grant money from the 2024 Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund can be used to investigate drug trafficking organizations, disrupt the drug supply, and support drug overdose victims through education, support, and treatment options.

The Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund is part of the Drug Interdiction, Disruption, and Reduction Plan that is funded through Ohio’s operating budget.

The Tuscarawas County Board of Commissioners received $11,024.80. The Wayne County Commissioner was awarded $81,163.68. A total of $123,833.15 will go to the Stark County Board of Commissioners.

42 law enforcement agencies received a total of $3 million.
