Local Deputies Assist in Pursuit, Woman Taken into Custody

The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office assisted in a pursuit on Saturday, with the driver ultimately being arrested.

Deputies were notified of the chase shortly after midnight and agencies already involved were the Waynesburg Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Thanks to a successful deployment of a tire deflation device the vehicle slowed and the 32-year-old from Massillon was taken into custody near the intersection of State Route 800 and State Route 416.

She was turned over to Stark County law enforcement for traffic and criminal charges.
