A biker group out of New Philadelphia is again showing its generous side in the spirit of thanksgiving.
The Ohio Gorillas motorcycle club is delivering approximately 135 full turkey or ham meals to several schools in the area Friday for district families to receive.
Club member, and New Philadelphia service director, Ron McAbier says those schools include New Philadelphia, Dover, Claymont, Sandy Valley, and Conotton Valley.
“We go out to all the counselors and say who needs help. Who needs a hand. Who’s not going to have Thanksgiving dinner without some help. So, we get the feedback from them.”
McAbier says this is the second year his club has done this and last year they delivered about 75 meals. The meals were all made possible through donations collected over the past six weeks.
