Mary Alice Reporting –
Community members were able to stop and get a slice of pizza courtesy of Little Caesars Pizza of New Philadelphia and the Love Kitchen.
On Tuesday, the semi-truck first pulled into the parking lot of the Dover/New Philadelphia Salvation Army before making its way to the New Philadelphia Police Department and the homeless shelter.
Pizza shop owner Andrea Tyson says her team started early by getting ingredients ready in the semi-trailer.
“We always have a great turnout. The Love Kitchen is always accommodating with us, and we provide all the product, and we cook all the pizza, but it’s a mobile kitchen. Inside the truck is a full mini–Little Caesars so we’re able to cook all the food in the morning and obviously it’s still the fresh dough and cheese but we can cook it right here and serve it.”
The local Little Caesars franchise has to book the Love Kitchen, something Tyson says her and her husband, Paul, tries to do every few years as a way to pay it forward and give back to the community.
