Artists doing the LoveTusc sculptures were able to unveil their work at a Wednesday event at the Performing Arts Center at Kent Tuscarawas.
The goal of the LoveTusc: Tuscarawas County Sculpture Tour is to connect communities across the county through a collaborative sculpture series to encourage residents and visitors to experience Tuscarawas County’s cultural identity.
Executive Director Wilma Mullet says it was great to see the 11 different projects in one space and to see the diversity each artists brought for the specific regions.
“It’s really great to see so many of them under one roof. It’s actually pretty exciting. Each piece, it’s meant to be unified but not uniform. It’s unified because we get to celebrate each cultural identity.”
The sculptures will be in areas including Atwood Lake, Dennison, New Philadelphia, Strasburg, and Uhrichsville.
