A man wanted for a probation violation and as a suspect in a domestic violence incident found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time Thursday morning.
48-year-old Russell Rennicker of the Mineral City area drove a motorcycle past a crash scene in the Midvale area. A responding deputy recognized Rennicker and began a quick pursuit that ultimately led to an arrest, says Tuscarawas County Sheriff Detective Captain Adam Fisher.
“Russell made evasive maneuvers to try to get around or through a specific area and he lost control of the motorcycle, laying it down in the middle of the roadway. He then fled on foot through a nearby field and he was ultimately located in a creek under some brush by the K9.”
This was on Indian hill Road and Fisher says they arrested Rennicker without further incident. Deputies took him to the hospital to get some minor injuries checked and then to the Tuscarawas County Jail.
Rennicker will now face additional charges for Thursday’s pursuit.
