Margaret A. Stilgenbauer, 69, of Tuscarawas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Sunnyslope Care Center in Bowerston, Ohio.

 Born on March 24, 1955, in Dennison, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Dallas and Betty Boehme Tatman.  Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Stilgenbauer Jr. on June 26, 2006; sister, Adele Conklin; niece, Nicole Kinsey, and Grandma Jesse.

Margaret spent many years of her working life at Lauren Manufacturing, where she retired in 2014. Her commitment to her career was matched only by her devotion to her family, whom she cherished deeply. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Margaret had a passion for travel and exploring the countryside. The simple pleasures of taking drives through beautiful landscapes brought her great happiness. In addition to her love for adventure, she was a gifted poet with several of her works published, reflecting her thoughtful and creative spirit.

Margaret is survived by her children: Daniel Sickels and companion Erin Slemmer of Strasburg; Jesse Lee Stilgenbauer and companion Kora Fronsman of Gnadenhutten; and Travis Lee Stilgenbauer and April Stilgenbauer, both of New Philadelphia. She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Dallas Tatman and Patsy Incarnato of Uhrichsville, Nancy Baker of Cadiz, and Doris Tatman of New Philadelphia. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: DJ, Joey, Rogan, Sophia, Shirley, Hayden, Olivia, Allen, Austin, and Ava, along with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 1st starting at 2:00 pm at the Dover Burial Park with Pastor David Wing officiating.  The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
