Margaret Louise Treherne, 84, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison. Born August 15, 1937, near Uhrichsville, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Raymond and Mary Mildred (Wright) Irwin and a lifelong area resident.
Margaret will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her sons, Robert A. “Bobby” Treherne, Jr. and James E. “Jimmy” (Angel) Treherne; daughter, Loralyn Treherne; 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved dearly; sister, Mary McKinley; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Treherne; sister, Maddie; and brothers, Calvin, Forrest, and Ray.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker who loved decorating for every holiday. She was very proud of her family and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For a number of years, she worked as a nurses’ aide for several area nursing homes, as well. She attended Bethel Worship Center and enjoyed going to the Senior Center where she played volleyball with her friends.
Services, officiated by Pastor John Stevenson, will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 31, at R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where visitation will be for an hour prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron Children’s Hospital.
