Margorie Esther “Midge” Hartline, 74, of Midvale, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 10, 2023, after a period of declining health. Born July 5, 1948 in Canton, Ohio, she was the last surviving child of the late Francis L. and Ida Mary (Thompson) Berry, having been preceded in death by her siblings, Judy, Willie, Nancy, Ray, Bob, Roberta, and Leroy.
A lifelong area resident, Midge will be remembered as a woman who deeply loved her family. She cherished the time that she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Midge loved taking time over a good cup of coffee to appreciate the beauty in life, especially butterflies and flowers. For a number of years, she was employed by Marathon, in addition to her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
In 1986, Midge was preceded in death by her husband, David Allen Hartline, with whom she reared four children, Tammy (Rick) Harmon, Jason (Tabitha) Hartline, and Leroy (Tricia) Hartline who survive them and David Hartline who preceded her in death. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Ann Hartline, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren with more expected, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where her family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. Midge will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Dundee Cemetery.
