Marie Eileen Festi, age 84, of Dover, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House, New Philadelphia.
Born June 4, 1941, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Mary (Collar) Harig. Marie attended school in Midvale and was formerly employed by Alsco in Sugarcreek. She married Ralph J. Festi on May 27, 1967. The couple had four sons and shared 51 years of marriage prior to Ralph’s passing on June 6, 2018. Marie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a member of St. Joseph Church in Dover.
She is survived by her sons, Donnie L. (Karen Sue) and Michael A. Festi, both of Dover; her grandchildren, Michael Rafaele Festi and Jenna Dawn Festi; her brothers, Carl (Marsha) and Glen Harig; her many nieces and nephews; and Michelle Festi, the mother of her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ralph, Marie was preceded in death by her sons, Ralph Jr. and David Festi; her sister, Esther Phelps; and her brother, Paul Harig Jr.
Marie will be cremated through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. A graveside service is planned, the date and time of which will be announced on this website.
