Marilyn J. Stalder, 99, of Dover died on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Park Village Health Care Center of Dover.

Born April 5, 1923, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Hoopingarner) Smith. She was looking forward to turning 100 this coming April.

Marilyn was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Dover. She retired from Union Hospital and volunteered at the welcome desk at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center.

Marilyn is survived by two daughters; Patricia Linard of Florida, and Rosemary Haugh of Dover; daughter-in-law, Linda Stalder of Mesa, Arizona; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and five step great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell J. Stalder in 2007 whom she was married to for 66 years before he passed away; her son, Ron Stalder; three sisters; one brother; and her son-in-law, Richard Haugh.
