Marla L. Wagner, age 66, of Dover, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House, following a period of declining health.
Born in Loudonville on August 9, 1958, she was the daughter of Larry and Shirley (Christine) Eggerton.
Marla was a chaplain at various nursing homes over the years. She could often be found singing with the residents. She was also known for helping with many benefits over the years. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers. But her greatest joy was caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband, William Wagner of Berlin; daughter, Becky (Sam) Blair of Dover; son, Bill (Mandee) Kalp of Dover; parents, Larry and Shirley Eggerton; brothers, Mike (Pam) Eggerton, Marvin (Tammy) Eggerton, and Matt (Amy) Eggerton; sister, Marsha (Rusty) Halsey; grandchildren, Blake (fiancé, Emma Hambright) Blair, Brady (Rachel) Blair, and Samantha (fiancé, Ashton Carruthers) Blair; great-granddaughter, Noelle Blair; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Marla was preceded in death by her grandparents.
The family will greet guests on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Chaplain Rod Neff will lead a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM.
