Mary Ann Gillenwater – December 12, 2022

Mary Ann Gillenwater, 72, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Newcomerstown. She was born March 14, 1950 in West Hamlin, WV to the late Alamander and Glenna Mae Adkins.

Mary enjoyed planting flowers, watching TV, playing cards, and red birds. She especially loved to read. She was married to her husband, Maynard Glenn Gillenwater, for over 40 years. He passed away on December 16, 2006.

She is survived by her four children, Michael Gillenwater of Sumerco, WV, Donna Arthur, and Ralph Gillenwater both of Parkersburg, WV, Marsha (James) Worthington of Newcomerstown; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her sisters, Glennie Faye Adkins of NC and Pamela Kay Adkins of Branchland, WV; two brothers, Timmy Adkins and Dexter Adkins of Branchland, WV. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Lana; her brother, Bobby; and her sister, Ethel. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
