Mary Jo Parrish, 66, of Uhrichsville, passed away at her home, while surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, September 29, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Born July 18, 1956, in Dennison, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Jo-Ann (Lovell) Carpenter. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of Bethel Worship Center in Uhrichsville.

On February 16, 1974, Mary wed Steven Ray Parrish who survives her at their home. She devoted her life to her family, as she and Steve were blessed with two sons, Jason (Missy) Parrish and Tyler (Chasity) Parrish, who survive her, and a daughter, Stacey Lynn Parrish, who preceded her in death, as well as seven grandchildren, Abbi, Kaleb, Ethan, Audrey, Camden, and Cayden Parrish, and Taylor Flagherty. Mary loved caring for her family and her entire world revolved around them. She also survived her sister, Teresa McComb; mother-in-law, Ellen Louise Parrish; brother- and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Anisa Parrish and Gail Parrish; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and daughter, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles Parrish, and brothers-in-law, Ron McComb, Kelly Parrish, and Greg Parrish.

Services, officiated by Pastor John Stevenson, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Community Hospice. Mary’s family extends their deep gratitude to the staff of Tri-County Hematology for their exceptional care during Mary’s hard-fought battle with cancer.
