Mary M. Heter, 84, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Springfield, New York, Mary was the daughter of the late Prescott and Catherine (McGuire) White and is survived by her husband, Fred Heter; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jan Downing of New Philadelphia; her son, Greg Heter and his girlfriend, Jan Stewart of New Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Diane White of Shalimar, Florida.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and no services are to be scheduled. A bereavement dinner will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 3 PM in St. Peter’s Oldtown Valley Lutheran Church, 3640 Oldtown Valley Road SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to either St. Peter’s Oldtown Valley Lutheran Church, or, the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Road NE, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
