It will be a few more days before a verdict is issued in the case of the truck driver on trial for the fatal Tusky Valley charter bus crash from later 2023.

Licking County Common Pleas Court Judge David Branstool tentatively scheduled a hearing for 1pm on Friday. This was due to other trial cases.

The defendant, 61-year-old Jacob McDonald faces 26 counts.

The trial involved three days of testimony and arguments last week.

The prosecution tried to show that the Zanesville man was on his cell phone just prior to the I-70 crash.

The defense attorney argued that no witnesses can prove that McDonald was distracted by his cell phone.
