Mary Alice Reporting – A local community mental health service is now offering direct access to medical and psychiatric care.

OhioGuidestone announced their new Medical Front Service for new patients at their northwest, northeast, and central Ohio locations, including the New Philadelphia office.

This program, according to President and CEO Brant Russell, in a release, is removing a barrier to provide “access to medical providers for new mental health and substance use disorder clients”.

The availability gives individuals the chance to go directly to a medical provider instead of having a six to eight week wait period.

In addition, Rapid Access program, in Tuscarawas, Medina, Wood, and Hancock counties, offers substance us clients immediate walk-in care to seen, evaluated, and get medicated assisted treatment the same day.
