Melvin L. Tidrick – September 8, 2022

Melvin L. Tidrick, 86, passed away on September 8, 2022, in New Philadelphia, OH. Melvin was born on April 5, 1936, in Newcomerstown, OH, to the late Delbert and Alberta (Lindell) Tidrick. Melvin married Bonnie (Moore) Tidrick on February 14, 1961. He worked for the Village of Newcomerstown Water Department for many years. Melvin enjoyed fishing, was an Ohio State fan, and loved his cars and spending time with his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Bonnie, Melvin is survived by his children, Melissa (Skip) Snider of Dresden, Barbara (Todd) Taylor of Kimbolton; son-in-law George Hayes of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Matthew Tidrick, Curtis Fisher, Amber Cooper (Nathan), Alison Westfall (Bryan), Shae (Jessica) Taylor, Braeden (Evelyn) Taylor, David (Kayley) Snider, Katie Hess (Will); 8 great-grandchildren; his sister, Beverly Tidrick of North Olmstead.

Melvin was preceded in death by his daughter, Maribeth Hayes; siblings, George Tidrick, Eugene Tidrick, Robert Tidrick, Marjorie Shaw, Evelyn Watson, Janice Miller, Delbert Tidrick Jr., and Doris Tidrick; his nephew, Robert Hammons.

A graveside service for Melvin Tidrick will be held on Friday, September 23 at 11:00 AM at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown. Memorial donations may be made in Melvin’s name to the Community Hospice Truman House, 716 Commercial Ave SW New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
