Nick McWilliams reporting – The Austin Zinkon Memorial Truck and Tractor will return this weekend.

On Saturday, May 20th from noon to 10 p.m., pulling enthusiasts and participants are invited to the Harvest Barn in Sugarcreek for the second-straight year.

The memorial is held in Zinkon’s name, who passed suddenly in 2019 after an ATV incident.

The event will also include a spaghetti dinner, a 50/50 drawing, raffle, silent auction, and a bake sale.

Admission and the meal are by free-will donation. All proceeds go to area families dealing with loss or to cover medical expenses.

Last year’s event raised $30,000, with four beneficiaries planned for this year’s donations, all experiencing their own medical expenses.

Some bleachers will be set out, but all visitors are encouraged to consider bringing their own chairs, and the event is rain or shine.

For rules for the pull, visit the memorial Facebook page. Weigh-ins start at noon, and pulls will start at 2 p.m.

For information on the event and to submit donations, email g.zinkon@eaglemachines.com or call (330) 852-1300.
