Littles are waiting to be matched with a big through Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio.

The organization has 61 children waiting to be matched with a mentor, who would spend a minimum of four hours a month with their match.

President and CEO Beverly Pearch says having a positive adult role model in a youth’s life is beneficial.

“I think mentorship is important for any child and for any person for that matter. I think that everyone of us can think of a mentor in their life that has made an impact on them, regardless of whether we’ve had trauma or not, mentors are extremely important to the development of children and to help them reach their full potential.”
