Michael Allen Clymer, 71, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born February 22, 1952 in Dover, he was a son of the late Charles James and Diana Ruth (Lingle) Clymer.
After his 1971 graduation from Claymont High School, Mike enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was employed for over 20 years at the Holmco division of Robin Industries where he had been a quality control inspector. In retirement, he spent many happy hours reading and painting – especially enjoying painting ceramics. He was also an avid gardener who loved caring for his rose bushes.
On April 5, 1975, Mike married Cathy M. (Smith) Clymer who survives him along with their son, Christian (Kelly) Clymer, and grandchildren, Ryan, Harmony, Corbin, and Miracle Clymer. Mike is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Kathy L. Clymer and Peggy Bernard, as well a several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James D. Clymer, and his parents-in-law, Betty and Donald Smith.
A 1:00 p.m. funeral on Monday, July 24, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison will begin with military memorial honors and continue with Judy Merrick officiating the service. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
