Michael R. “Mike” Freeland, 41, of Port Washington, passed away on February 7, 2023. He was born January 11, 1982 in Cambridge to Wilma Freeland of Port Washington and Gordon Freeland of Arizona.He was a 2000 graduate of Indian Valley South High School in Gnadenhutton. He attended the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima where he earned a degree as an Agricultural Equipment Technician in 2001. He worked on John Deere equipment for 20 years at Kuester’s in Midvale, J.D. Equipment in Zanesville, and currently Ag-Pro in Zanesville. He loved farming and spent his life doing it.
In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by his grandmother, Norma Schreiner of Port Washington; his companion, Victoria Addy of Port Washington; and a son, Scott Freeland of the home. He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Freeland; his grandfathers, Kenneth Steinbach and John Freeland Jr.; and grandmother, Charlotte Freeland.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 11 am at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown with Pastor Jim Shamel officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
