Michael Snyder, 73, of Sugarcreek, passed away at his home on Friday, September 12, 2025.
He was born in Dover on May 2, 1952, to Grace (Wright) Snyder of Sugarcreek and the late Warren Dale Snyder. He married Cindy Jones on August 18, 1973. She survives.
He had worked in insurance and investments over the years. He was a former member of the Sugarcreek Fire Dept and an EMT. Mike was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Football.
His greats joy though, was following his grandchildren in all their sporting events in the Dover Schools.
In addition to his wife, Cindy and mother Grace, he is survived by his children, Mick (Kelly) Snyder of Strasburg, Bo (Heather) Snyder of Woodstock, GA, and Ashlee (Nicholas Lute) Snyder of Dover; seven grandchildren, Evan and Ethan Snyder, Chloe, Gavin and Nolan Snyder, Kayelee and Kole Shidaker, and Natalie and Whitney Lute; his siblings Dave (Carrie) Snyder of Dover and Lynn (John) Fabynick of Sugarcreek; sister-in-law Kim (Ed) Klein of Sugarcreek; brother-in-law Randy (Teri) Jones of Dover and father-in-law Jim Jones of Sugarcreek.
He is preceded in death by his father Warren Dale Snyder and mother-in-law Kaye Jones.
Services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11 AM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with Pastor Earl Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
