Colleagues are remembering longtime Tuscarawas County board of elections director chuck miller, who passed away last week at the age of 72.
Miller spent 30 years as board director. Current board of elections chair republican Tom Hisrich says he worked alongside miller – a democrat – during his entire tenure.
“Chuck was a very dedicated individuals. He took his duties very seriously as director of the board of elections. He knew he was going to be working with me, and of course I was of the opposite party, but we never had any problems in regards to discussing issues.”
Hisrich says it was difficult for miller to resign as board director due to health reasons in 2016.
Services for chuck miller are on this Tuesday at 11 am at the John Heckewelder memorial Moravian church in Gnadenhutten.
