Midvale Community Park will host the Midvale Miners Jubilee this weekend, with three days of activities celebrating the community’s coal mining heritage.
The festival opens Friday at 5 p.m. with food vendors, bouncy houses, and live music from Badstone at 8.
Organizer Randy Cadle says the Jubilee continues to grow each year.
Saturday’s lineup focuses on family fun, featuring children’s activities, visits from local safety forces, a butterfly garden, and more from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday will also include a talent show along with memorabilia and baked goods auctions.
The festival wraps up Sunday with a 10 a.m. church service, a 1 p.m. car show, and Power Slam Pro Wrestling at 2 p.m.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore displays highlighting the Jubilee’s more than 70-year history and honoring the coal mining roots that helped shape the Midvale community.
