New Philadelphia firefighters described damage resulting from a fire outside a multi-family dwelling as minimal over the weekend.
Fire captain Matthew Graham says it started with firefighters getting called for a burn investigation in the 500 block of 11th drive northwest just after noon Sunday. They arrived and found a small fire on a wooden fence that had extended to the back of the apartment building.
Graham says damage was limited to the exterior of the building and the fence, estimated at 10-thousand dollars.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
