Miriam L. Haas, 84, of Navarre passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2022, in the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 16, 1938, in Dundee she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Schneitzer Schneider. Miriam was also preceded in death by her first husband, Marion Haas on June 8, 1997, and her second husband, David John Harper on May 1, 2021; grandson, Zach Haas; two brothers and a sister.
She was a 1956 graduate of Beach City High School and attended the Massillon United Church of Christ. Miriam was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling in several different leagues over the years; she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Miriam is survived by her children, Sharon (Gary) Lawver, and Jeff (Paula) Haas both of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Kyra Miller, Jenna (Kevin) D’Ettorre, Jarod (Lisa) Lawver, Chad Lawver, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2nd starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Kevin D’Ettorre officiating. The interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
