The body of a missing man outside Newcomerstown has been found by searchers Wednesday.
According to initial reports, the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office was notified that Stephen Myers was believed to have walked away from his residence on August 14th.
The 81-year-old went missing on Lick Run Road, with a search by the sheriff’s office, fire departments from Arrowhead and Newcomerstown, search-and-rescue units from Perry Township and the state of Ohio, along with family and friends, eventually leading to the discovery of his body.
Myers was found in a wooded area near his home, and no foul play is suspected, according to a release.
