Authorities successfully located a 74-year-old man reported missing from the Tusky area Monday evening after a multi-state search involving Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania law enforcement agencies.

Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s call records indicate the man’s son reported him missing after he left home in a  silver car around 1 p.m. and did not return.

The caller said his father was showing early signs of dementia and confusion, prompting officials to issue a Missing Persons alert.

Investigators utilized Flock camera technology to track the man’s movements across state lines. Agencies in the tri-state area were notified and assisted in the search.

The man was eventually located in Marietta, Ohio, and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. He was later reunited with his son.
