Monna L. Garver, 72, of Dover passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, in the Country Club Retirement Community.

She was born on January 16, 1950, in Dover and was the daughter of the late Roland and Jean Davy Strawn. Monna was also preceded in death by her husband, John E. Garver on March 30, 2021.

Monna had been attending the First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia and was a member of the New Cumberland United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Dollar N Quarter Club (Andy Griffith) and a former member of the Fairfield Grange. She loved going on bus trips, taking two Gospel Cruises, and going to 50’s and 60’s concerts hosted by her caregiver Todd T. Taylor.

Monna is survived by her children, Wendy Garver of Uhrichsville, and Dean Garver of South Carolina; sister, Sharon (Larry) Work of Uhrichsville; nephews, Gary and Terry Snyder; caregiver, Todd T. (Nancy) Taylor of Strasburg and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd starting at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Dave Millard officiating. Interment will be in the Holmes Church Cemetery. The family will be greeting friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
