Nick McWilliams reporting – Criminals are taking aim at SNAP benefits in the state of Ohio.

The latest scam, which has been reported to Tuscarawas County and Ohio Job and Family Services, is leading to officials asking recipients to change their PIN numbers when they can.

In order to change a PIN, EBT card holders should contact cardholder services with the number on the back of the card, using the ConnectEBT app, or visit www.connectebt.com.

Cards can also be locked in real-time using the app if recipients believe they are the victim of stolen benefits.

Anyone who finds that their account is compromised should call 1(866)-386-3071. A form must be completed and returned to a local JFS office for reimbursement.

For questions, call (330) 339-7791.
