The City of New Philadelphia is getting set to have its first multi-cultural festival this weekend.
Mayor Joel Day says the n-pact organization is putting it on Saturday from 1 to 6 pm. outside the Lacey Performing Arts Center featuring music, dancing, and food from performers and vendors.
This includes from 1 to 2:45pm Celtic Rush, from 3 to 4 entertainment will be the Al Corazon de Mexico dancers, and from 4:30 to 6pm it’s the Los de Carrera Larga Band. There will also be a Three Sisters Intertribal Organization display and a soccer and football skills challenge from New Philadelphia High School.
N-Pact, which stands for New Philadelphia Advancing our Community Together, is always looking for volunteers to help with community projects. The non-profit group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 8 am in council chambers at city hall.
