Gwen Rummell Reporting –
The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) has received the Horizon Award from the Ashland Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).
The Ashland SWCD selects a Horizon Award winner annually to recognize organizations in their conservation efforts.
Director of Marketing & Communications Adria Bergeron says the award is a testament to the MWCD’s continuous dedication to improving nature and supporting farming communities.
“Being honored with this award by the Ashland Soil and Water Conservation District, we’re very pleased to receive it. The watershed does a variety of things to partner with our local farmers, such as our cover crop program. In addition, we offer a partner and watershed management program, which is a grant program.”
The MWCD is a long-term partner with the Ashland SWCD in implementing conservation practices.
