The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is getting ready to give hikers and bikers a glimpse of what’s in store at the parks for decades to come.
Director of marketing and communications Adria Bergeron says district officials will unveil the MWCD trails master plan during a presentation at the Atwood Lake Park event center this Saturday at 1 pm. The plan lays out a vision to design and build nearly 300 miles of interconnected trails across MWCD lakes and parks over the next 20 years.
She says after that they will celebrate the ribbon cutting on the new storybook trail at Atwood Lake at 2 pm, made possible by a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Bergeron says the MWCD trail master plan will then be available to view on the district’s website following Saturday’s unveiling.
