She was a longtime member of Jerusalem Church in New Philadelphia where she had enjoyed bible studies with her sisters in Christ in Rebecca’s Circle, as well as visiting nursing home residents and the home bound in the church’s ICU visitation group. A woman of deep faith, she was also active in a prayer group at work. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts.
On August 14, 2003, Nancy married D. Jerry Frantz who survives her at their home. She is also survived by her son, Bill (Julie) Martin, Jr.; daughter, Vicki (Shawn) Graziano; grandsons, Bill (Mandy) Martin, Brian (Samantha) Martin, and Justin (Taylor) Graziano; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Parker, Emma, Ellie, and Evie; step daughters, Jean Frantz and Jane (Steve) Martinelli; step granddaughters, Katie Martinelli and Hillary Bache; step great-grandchildren, Donovan and Collin; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Russell and Thomas Russell, and her sister, Dolly Simpson.
According to Nancy’s wishes, cremation is planned. Pastor Tom Hendershot will officiate a private, family graveside service at Jerusalem Church Cemetery where she will be interred. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring her memory may be made to Jerusalem Church, 1417 Stonecreek Rd. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
